Meet the Site Hosts… The Strang Ranch
Strang Ranch is owned and operated by Mike and Kit Strang who have been ranching in the Roaring Fork Valley since 1961. The ranch provides a setting for all kinds of equestrian activities and also produces sod for landscapers and beef and lamb for carnivores. (!) At an altitude of 7000 feet it offers stunning views of Mount Sopris and the Elk Mountain Range in Western Colorado. The 460 acre ranch consists of both irrigated hay meadow and pasture as well as sagebrush and gambel oak habitat. The Strangs have made a commitment to preserve the agricultural and natural values of the ranch in perpetuity by donating conservation easements to the Aspen Valley Land Trust. Strang Ranch is less than 20 minutes from the towns of Carbondale, Basalt and Glenwood Springs, and 35 minutes from Aspen.
